Have you ever wondered what inspired the logos on posters or movie characters with their hands on their cheeks screaming or just in mid scream?

Well - you’ve come to the right place because today we are going to talk about the Scream painting by Edward Munch.Edward Munch was inspired to draw this painting when he was out walking and suddenly the sky turned blood red. Munch felt a scream rip through nature which was the basis for his painting. The actual painting shows a bridge with a figure in the foreground who is screaming. The sky is blood red with land, a cliff and a fjord. (a fjord is a body of water surrounded by cliffs.)
There are 4 versions of the Scream painting - one in pastel , the second in oil, tempera, and pastel, the third made out of lithograph print and the fourth one is made out of tempera paint (this version was stolen in 2004 but recovered in 2006.)

I have drawn my own version of the Scream painting for an art project in school. You can see my drawing below, it represents everything that I am scared of or don't like.
I hope what you have read here inspires you to be creative and make your own version of the scream painting!
